Need Latest Population and WATSAN Availability Data

Does anyone know where I might get a collection of the most recent statistics on population and on water and sanitation supply by country? General numbers as a whole by country will be workable but ideally I would like to find more accurate data compatable for use in GIS for a bit of map meddling......
