Re: WATSAN in Cold Climates

Nicola, One of the Global WASH Cluster Technical Training Modules was on hot water for bathing in emergencies with examples of emergency heaters and bathing units from the Pakistan Earthquake, the Bam Earthquake and Bangladesh Cyclone . I don't know if this is useful?

In Burundi the Ministry of Education standard is a desludgable latrine (a fully lined double brick pit wall with percolation hole and an unsealed base). Over the years we have desludged a fair number. Usually desludging requires a supply of water to liquefy the latrine contents both before the event...
